Text Box: Door County with 19 municipalities is an ever growing and vibrant community seeking to develop successful public-private partnerships in both business and industry. Transportation is a vital component in any development opportunity so county residents have excitedly embraced the news of possible construction of a third downtown Sturgeon Bay bridge. The Department of Transportation is considering updating and rehabbing the old Michigan Street Bridge and in addition DOT officials, along with state legislators, are also promoting the concept of a third bridge with a Maple to Oregon Streets crossing. As you travel to the peninsula this fall note that the DOT is grinding the surface of Hwy. 42-57 from County S intersection, north to Gordon Road. There is also construction on Highway 42 between Kewaunee and Algoma.
The Chamber has kicked off its annual daffodil and tulip bulb sale—now is the time to plant for a beautiful Spring showing of color.
